We require members to let us know by posting in the Leave of Absence Forum in the members section, if you are not going to be around for any length of time.  We do not need the specific reasons for your absence.  All we need is a general time-frame to expect you to be unavailable.  There are numerous reasons for this requirement ranging from the respectful to the practical... so simply abide by it.  As always, there are things that can and do happen that may leave a member incapable of such notice.  If this does occur, we ask that you do no more than your best to let us know what's going on as soon as you are capable.

Our policy for "AWOL" members (away without leave, aka no-shows):

  • Please post your time away from the game in the LoA forum: do not whisper me, an officer or another member or send an in game or on site PM.  If your reasons are private, you don't have to tell us what they are: just when you intend on returning.
  • Aspirants that join the guild and are not seen again for one week following their acceptance will be removed.
  • Aspirants who are gone for two or more weeks at anytime during their initiation level (Aspirant) are removed from the guild.
  • Full members who are gone for one month are removed from the guild.
  • We also will eventually remove Aspirants or Full Members that just log in briefly without any real contact or participation in the guild after a while.
  • Members who post LoA and still do not return in a reasonable time after their posted time of return, will be removed from the guild.
Bear in mind that these actions are not time-stamped.   The leadership does not have the time or desire to habitually police the above conditions.  Our concerns are first to the people who are here, not to the people that aren't.  As such, there may wind up being people in the guild whom have exceeded these time frames.  We will do periodic clean-outs of our ranks.  At those times, anyone meeting the above conditions for expulsion will be summarily culled.

What You Should Do

If you do not wish to be removed from the guild post in the appropriate forum and let us know you are taking a leave from the game and a general time you will return.

If you've forgotten to post a LoA or didn't intend on staying away from the game as long as you did and return to find yourself removed from the guild roster and wish to return simply reapply to the guild on this site from the "Join The Dragonflight" link on the front page.

As always you can post your questions and comments here and we'll get back to you.

Thank you,

Ceramyth Rahl'Tyr
