The Dragonflight is one of the oldest established guilds on Kirin Tor. Originally established within the first week of the server's launch (October 2005) and reformed under new leadership in January 2006 (see our history for particulars), we continue to thrive to this day.
Goals
The Dragonflight's goals are pursuing PVE and all game content while creating a comfortable environment geared towards each active individual member's game goals. If you work for the guild, the guild will work for you.
Our raid nights are currently Wednesday through Saturday at 8:00 pm through 10:30 pm server (Central) time, with weekend ZA and Karazhan runs . Other times we are active in Heroic and regular instance runs for gear, rep and badges. We have many members across different time zones, including some daytime and late night players but the above is the current most active.
Many members pursue PVP in both Arena teams and Battlegrounds. This is not an area of focus for our guild in general, but it's value is recognized as they apply to our primary goals.
We use GEM and Ventrilo to facilitate our raids as well as other add-ons. Though there are no complete mods that are required to participate in our raiding, there are add-ons that generally increase effectiveness... and as such effectiveness is necessary for progression and judged to grant placement within a run, the use of such may be a contributor to your individual success. In the end, use of most add-ons is at the personal discretion of the members. There may be a few exceptions to this generalization as time moves on but they are relatively minor. Our use of the SolarianAlarm for anyone participating in that encounter is one such example.
One of our goals is to help each other as much as realistically possible with our various trade skills, help with quests, keys, rep and gear for the ultimate goals of PVE progression. The Dragonflight is made up of some of the nicest people in Azeroth and if you join our ranks you will see this firsthand. This does not mean we give handouts though.
The Dragonflight does not require its members to role play, but it is RP-friendly.
